Cheeseburgers with a Side of Art

Cheeseburgers plus art equals… a delicious cultural extravaganza combining favorite local chefs with glasswork. The Museum of Glass’ first annual Slider Cook-Off will take place Saturday, March 3 and will showcase sliders as well as art. The event is inspired by the signature piece in a current exhibition of larger-than-life Venetian style goblets, Gathering: John Miller and Friends, which features a giant cheeseburger in the goblet stem. Guests will be able to sample sliders while chefs from local restaurants like Asado, Maxwell’s, Bite, Social Bar & Grill, Adriatic Grill, Chambers Bay Grill and HG Bistro will compete in a cook-off in the Hot Shop.
Each restaurant will make its version of the slider, from burger to sausage to pork. Harmon Brewery will serve beer to complement the dishes. A celebrity judge panel, including artist John Miller, will judge each slider and award a slider goblet designed by Miller to the winning chefs.
Tickets are $35 in advance, $30 for Museum members and $40 at the door. Anyone who dines at a participating restaurant in February can bring their receipt to the Museum for $5 off ticket purchase. VIP tickets are $100 and include complimentary wine, beer and a gift bag. 21 and over. Purchase tickets at the Museum or click here.
