Tranquility reigns at Bremerton’s Harborside Fountain Park, done up in copper-ringed fountains and wading pool. Walking, lunching or simply watching the ferries come and go -- the state of being free from tension and anxiety. But from 2 to 5:30 p.m. August 20, the park turns it up a notch.
Local brews and wines from around the state and Oregon assure that your pint or wine glass be never empty. Kitsap’s third annual wine festival also delights in the culinary: Chef Marsha Henry of Kitsap Conference Center, Anthony’s at Sinclair Inlet, Bella Bella Cupcakes, Boston’s Pizza & Deli, CJ’s Evergreen General Store & Catering, McCloud’s Grill House & Saloon and The Boat Shed.
Be it hops or semi-sweet, tastes of the town or live music, this festival makes for a feast of the senses.
From July 1 to August 19, tickets are $50 each and are $60 at the door. Purchase at kitsapwinefestival.com or Kitsap Conference Center; a portion of proceeds will benefit the Harrison Medical Center Foundation. Parking is provided at the parking lot adjacent to the ferry terminal.
