Last week there was a line of fashionable ladies that stretched into the parking lot after hours at Cascade Eye & Skin Centers, P.C. in University Place. Maybe you drove by and wondered what you were missing. The Center was hosting a Go Red for Women event to benefit the American Heart Association. About 300 women were in attendance and enjoyed heart healthy hors d' oevres, wine and a fashion show. The event was hosted by Penny LeGate (remember her? She was on Evening Magazine). The women also learned all about the Go Red for Women movement to educate them about heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women. The women in attendance were excited -- especially because Cascade was offering complimentary Botox and specials of LASIK, cosmetic products and more.
